The chief duty of this intern is creating brief videos to train Company staff. These videos will describe effective use of information services provided by the Company Library. Videos will feature computer displays with voice-over instruction. The intern will work closely with Library staff to identify training objectives, create innovative videos, and socialize these products within the Company.
Additional duties will include managing and analyzing data regarding scholarly publications written by Company scientists. Depending on the intern's skills and interests, this may include finding publications, updating databases, or creating reports and data visualizations.

Education Minimum Requirement:¬ 

  • Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in any field.

Required Experience and Skills:¬ 

  • Candidates must have¬ experience creating and editing videos, and must be comfortable recording their own voice.¬ 

  • Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Windows-based desktops or notebooks, including managing files in a network environment.

  • Candidates must have a willingness to learn new computer tools well enough to teach them.¬ 

  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills in verbal and written English.¬ 

  • Candidates must have outstanding ability to organize information and manage one's own time.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have experience with screen-recording software such as Camtasia, FlashBack, or WebEx Recorder.¬ 

  • Candidates should have familiarity with scientific publication or Library search tools.¬ 

  • Candidates should have experience with web-based content-management software and Voice training.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
