Senior R&D Recruiter



Please note that this is a 7 month contract assignment. Candidates cannot start an assignment until background check and drug test is completed
Qualifications:
. At least 5 years of corporate/in-house R&D recruiting/staffing experience required, preferably in a large, matrixed organization. Experience with direct sourcing and qualification of candidates, including use of the Internet, conducting telephone and on-site interviews utilizing behavioral-based interviewing techniques required. Experience working in a fast paced - high volume environment is required. Requires thorough knowledge of Taleo recruiting/staffing database systems. Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Marketing HQ and Field Sales Oncology pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry recruiting experience desired. Project management expertise in a deadline driven environment is a plus. Global recruiting experience is also a plus. The position requires up to 20% travel while maintaining or improving quality of hire.
Responsibilities:
Selected candidates will act as a resource to clients by providing creative methods of building prospect pools, pre-screening and interviewing candidates, and facilitating the staffing process. Coordinates, develops, and executes formal staffing plans and strategies with hiring managers and Human Resources Business Partners. Coordinates, facilitates and/or participates in interview days and job fairs. Identifies a diverse pool of candidates to ensure Merck's diversity commitment. Reduces cycle time while improving quality of hire. Contributes to process improvement initiatives and drives efficient process adherence. Manages relationship with third party vendor. Provides leadership and support of cross-functional and cross-divisional teams to implement an array of staffing initiatives, ensuring stakeholder participation, support and pull-through. Reports on recruiting activities as required or requested by the client as well as responsible for ensuring compliance to EEO/OFCCP regulations. Delivers behavioral-based interview training to client groups across business. Position will focus on Commercial roles in an extremely fast paced / high volume environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
