The Finance Value Team Architect translates the Enterprise Architecture, aligns to the outcomes being driven across Finance, and ensures that all investments are being made in alignment with the strategic technology decisions made by the enterprise.
The architecture capability will underpin the company s Digital Strategy.
This position will guide the architecture capabilities across Finance including providing leadership to the solution architects aligned with the product lines.
This includes areas such a financial planning and analysis, audit management, tax management, treasury management, account to report, close and consolidation, financial data and analytics, and intelligent automation.
The position, in partnership with the Finance IT leadership team, is responsible for delivering business, systems and technology architecture decisions that drive investments for the Finance Value team.
In addition, this person will be responsible for helping to mature the data and analytics strategy for EIT working closely with product line leaders, the CDNA organization, and the Enterprise Architecture organization.
The person in this role will work collaboratively with business and IT leaders aligned within Finance.
The position will serve as a member of the Finance IT leadership team and report to the Finance Value Team IT lead.
This leader will engage with leaders across EIT and will be directly involved in helping enable our CIO s vision of a more top-down, agile, and business outcomes focused IT organization.
This role is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, working primarily with product line leaders, product owners, solution architects, and technical leads across functional disciplines both within the ERP landscape and other Enterprise and Local solutions.
The Value Team Architect will participate in the development of the SAP ecosystem as we evolve the Finance system landscape, work closely with the Intelligent automation and Data & Analytics team to drive value based solutions, provide support for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures, as well as drive architecture adoption that lowers the total cost of ownership across the portfolio.
Essential to the role will be connecting the end to end business process with the underlying technical architecture that supports the business outcomes.
A partial list of responsibilities includes the following:
Use agile, value-centric, business outcomes-oriented, and total cost of ownership-based principles to guide decision making.
Lead the EIT finance practice of information and solution architecture partnering with information and solution architects in EIT Finance Contribute to the development of a documented business, solution, information, and data architecture in collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team and the product line solution architects.
Lead the end-to-end development of systems and technology blueprints Mature the data and analytics strategy inclusive of data discoverability, integration, and downstream utilization of financial data.
Establish strong working relationships with business and technology leaders in order to align investment planning, portfolio planning and execution with these roadmaps and architectures.
Drive investment decisions with a mindset to optimize total cost of ownership delivered business value.
Work across Finance IT to drive capability-led investment planning decisions.
Stay current with industry technology trends and introduce best practices to Finance IT.
Drive the notion of reusable architecture assets & standards such as current-state business/technology capability maps as well as future state planning roadmaps across all of IT.
Partner with solution architects and capability owners in the other business units to re-use the best available technologies and processes.
Create architecture deliverables and artifacts relevant for accountable architecture domain(s).
Effectively work with both waterfall and agile project teams to evolve the technical landscape toward the desired end state.
Apply risk-based decision making to complex problems and consult with relevant subject matter advisors as needed to inform the decision.
Prepare and deliver executive level briefings and communicate complex topics effectively to a diverse executive audience.
Provides strategic consultancy support to clients, Senior Application Technical Specialists and other technical team members in all aspects of enabling technologies to meet business needs.
Provides expertise on application architecture design or improvement in the areas of SAP and non-SAP solutions.
Performs technical oversight of implementation projects to assure alignment with architecture and technology standards.
Travel will be required ( 10-20%).
