An exciting opportunity exists for a candidate who wants to be part of creating new ways of working to advance our Company's late-stage pipeline. In a newly formed centralized function, the Associate Director, Project Management will be responsible for developing and tracking detailed project plans and schedules for pipeline, inline, and strategic operations across Global Vaccines and Biologics Commercialization (GVBC) and Biologics and Vaccines Analytics (BVA) and ensuring the team effectively executes against objectives. The Project Manager will be a key member of Working Group (WG) teams within the Development and Commercialization Teams (DCT) and will create and manage program timelines, execute standard work associated with WG/DCT deliverables (tier, risk assessments, knowledge management plans), and coordinate NCDS. The Project Manager will be accountable for a portfolio of programs to proactively identify cross-program trends and develop solutions in partnership with functional areas/DCTs. Key deliverables of the role may include, and are not limited to:
Monitoring the achievement of progress compared to plans via engagement with sub-teams and key support functions. Monitoring activities to ensure all functions are adequately supporting project objectives and timeline. Assisting in compilation of metrics and progress updates. Integrating multiple projects and programs to identify constraints and opportunities. Compiling and analyzing data summaries and report-outs on key business KPIs such as:
resource and financial forecasts vs actuals, PPQ batch deviations, recurring issues by node/site/modality, etc. Developing, utilizing, and deploying standard project management tools. Serving as business lead in development of integrated digital solutions required to effectively monitor and execute pipeline and business activities (e.g., MSDC APP, ZBB tool) Building transformational and lean capabilities for the centralization and standardization of business practices and systems (tiers, communications, templates, etc.). Required Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and at least five (5) years in a product development or technical transfer role Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated ability to create and analyze detailed, cross-functional project plans (including Gantt charting) and manage execution and change against those plans Understanding of commercialization process Principled and strong interpersonal skills and the ability to proactively engage others to obtain the desired information and outcome Strong written and verbal communications Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment; flexibility to respond to changing priorities Ability and willingness to learn new tools Preferred Qualifications PMP certification or proven skilled performance in a project management role History of directly supporting a Working Group/Development and Commercialization Team Well-developed and effective team facilitation and leadership skills and the ability to establish inclusive team environments Ability to manage ambiguous situations to reach practical solutions History of analyzing incomplete and/or large data sets to identify emerging trends Ability to distill large quantities of complex data into simple messages and to assess, draw connections, and provide recommendations Planning and execution of strategies for drug and/or vaccine product registration, pharmaceutical tech transfer and CMC, and/or life-cycle management (can be R&D, manufacturing, or commercial perspective) Digital tool competency in common platforms including MS Teams, Power BI, MSPO, Spotfire, Share Point Our Manufacturing & Supply Division is dedicated to being the most trusted supplier of biopharmaceuticals worldwide.
