We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams. Position Description:
The Procurement Associate Director Raw Materials will lead category strategy globally and collaborate with senior functional and operational stakeholders to develop and execute global supply strategies for Vaccine & Biologics Raw Materials. The position will support our Manufacturing division strategic imperatives and will enable core elements of strategy:
stability, responsiveness, building capacity, and foster innovation. Supplier Management supports the Vaccines & Biologics business operating units. Strategy development will require collaboration with key Stakeholders as well as Site and Global Procurement. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supplier Management and Conditioning - Responsible for building relationships with suppliers and managing supplier performance against business requirements using proven processes. Driving major global supplier relationships including high level meetings when appropriate; Quarterly Business Reviews, Top to Top Annual meetings and Supplier Days. These reviews can include regular reporting on supplier performance and support improvement of metrics where needed Productivity Improvement - Achieving direct material productivity improvement of the Vaccine & Biologics Raw Materials cost, Purchase Price Variance (PPV) improvement, and year-over-year productivity/savings pipeline development and execution of category spend savings projects Supply Risk Mitigation - manage the risk assessment process of the Vaccine & Biologics Raw Materials category, develop/execute risk mitigation plan for critical materials/suppliers, and support the Value Chain Management Teams (VCMT) in the risk analysis and mitigation activities Contracting - Lead the negotiations of global supply agreements for all global suppliers of Vaccine & Biologics Raw Materials and ensure that appropriate terms & conditions including pricing structure (tier pricing, payment term, rebates), continuous improvement of manufacturing cost, and other compliance elements related to the supply and sustainability Stakeholder Management and Business Sponsorship- Engage, obtain sponsorship and influence senior level stakeholders / demonstrate procurement value proposition. Ensuring appropriate stakeholders are identified and managed through stakeholder matrix. Engaging assigned stakeholders and partners with them to define and meet or exceed business requirements and identify and manage profit plan savings targets. Understanding strategic business requirements at 1-3-5-year horizon. Driving innovation by having good engagement with stakeholders and good market intelligence of related categories. Interface with lines of business to understand and influence long term strategy considering internal and external manufacturing requirements. Create a delivery plan shared jointly with business KPI Management; Work closely with the Supplier Development and Performance Management (SD&PM) Organization, in Global Procurement, to monitor Supplier performance for delivery and quality control. Ensure flawless execution of usable materials to the manufacturing sites, on time and right the first time. Improve performance through collaboration with Stakeholders and Suppliers. Develop end to end risk management strategies and performance management & improvement strategies Leading Global category management and supporting site procurement teams who will implement sourcing plans for the category as appropriate Market Knowledge and Insight - Using thorough market knowledge and data analysis to gain critical insights that drive the selection of Sourcing Strategies and continuous improvement activities Develop an end to end transformation strategy mapping out current landscape and developing and implementing short, mid and long-term improvement plans. Lead complex cross functional global projects and initiatives Act as change agent, demonstrating added value brought by the procurement function. Be a personal example of leadership standards. Manage functional key performance indicators:

Undergraduate degree in engineering, chemistry, Supply Chain or Business;, MBA or CPM /supply chain certification preferred Required Experience and Skills:

years' experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or consumer products manufacturing / purchasing arena 3
years of direct experience in sourcing raw materials or chemicals is a plus 3
years' experience in complex Project Management or manufacturing demonstrating the ability to successfully complete large, complex and international projects Demonstrated strong problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills Drive results while dealing with ambiguity Excellent oral and written communication skills Able to influence at all levels in the organization Preferred Experience and Skills:
